The Tridge
 | The Tridge is a unique structure that cost about $732,000 and 6,400 hours of labor to build.
|
The Tridge, located in the heart of downtown Midland, is a three way pedestrian footbridge. Built over the Tittabawassee and Chippewa rivers, The Tridge marks the spot where the two rivers meet. Built in 1981, The Tridge has become a meeting place for people of all ages.
 | | The Princess Laura takes visitors on a river ride during Riverdays. |
During the third week of July, the annual Riverdays festival is held in downtown Midland for four days. Festivities include a Milk Jug Raft Race, a Pancake breakfast, children’s activities and concerts in the nearby park. Visitors can enjoy riding on an old-time ferry, called the Princess Laura, down the river. Nearby, individuals can rent canoes and paddle the rivers themselves if they wish.
